Discover the highlights of Denmark on this tour. It kicks off in Copenhagen, the stunning capital, before continuing through the country, stopping in Roskilde and Ribe, before exploring the island Fanø and the sandy landscapes of North Jutland and Skagen. Aarhus and Anderson’s Odense are important stops on the way back to the capital.

Day 1: Arrival in Copenhagen
Arrival in Copenhagen and transfer from the airport to a centrally located hotel. Depending on arrival time, your travellers can explore the Danish capital on their own.
Day 2: Copenhagen
In the charming capital of Denmark, a thousand years of history awaits in the medieval streets. On a city tour, the travellers get to know some of the most important sights of the city, such as the statue of the Little Mermaid, the Gefion Fountain, and the Royal Palace Amalienborg. The afternoon is at leisure for further exploration.
Day 3: Copenhagen to Esbjerg
The tour through Denmark starts with the historic town of Roskilde and a visit of the Roskilde cathedral, a UNESCO world heritage site and the royal burial church of the Danish monarchs. The head to West Jutland and Ribe, Denmark's oldest town. Explore the typical Danish town with its colourful half-timbered houses and cathedral. Continue to Esbjerg, Denmark's young and modern harbour town.
Day 4: Fanø Island
Take the ferry to Nordby on the island of Fanø. The most northerly of the Danish Wadden Sea islands enchants with its typical island charm of endless sandy beaches, green forests and seafaring houses. In the afternoon, return to Esbjerg.
Day 5: Esbjerg to Aalborg
Today the journey continues to North Jutland at the tip of Denmark, where the Kattegat and Skagerrak seas meet. On the way, beautiful dune landscapes await the travellers at Ringkøbing Fjord in the Holmsland Klit headland. After the arrival in Skagen, the group can marvel at the travelling sand dune Råbjerg Mile which moves eastwards every year and offers a breath-taking view of rough and white beaches without any sea. Stop at the sand-covered church in Gammel Skagen before continuing to Aalborg.
Day 6: Aalborg to Kolding
In the morning drive south towards Aarhus and the green, hilly heart of East Jutland. There the travellers meet a local guide for a tour to sights such as St Clemens Cathedral and the trendy Latinerkvarteret district with its artisan shops and restaurants. The group will also visit the open-air museum Den Gamle By, where they can marvel at 75 authentic houses from the Denmark of old. Continue to Jelling, a true centre of Danish history and a UNESCO World Heritage site, where one can see two rune stones, a Viking Age royal burial mound, and the stone church dating from 1100. Continue to the harbour town of Kolding in Southern Jutland.
Day 7: Kolding to Odense
Continue east over the Little Belt Bridge to the fairytale island of Funen. In Odense, the travellers can get enchanted on a guided tour of storyteller Hans Christian Andersen’s hometown and visit the author’s house.
Day 8: Odense to Copenhagen
Today take the Great Belt Bridge to continue the travel eastwards. Just before the gates of Copenhagen, the route turns north to explore the extensive Danish Riviera along the North Coast of Zealand. The day also holds a visit to Frederiksborg Castle, built by in the 17th century in magnificent Renaissance style. Continue to Copenhagen.
Day 9: Departure from Copenhagen
Depending on departure time, the travellers might have time to explore Copenhagen some more before a transfer takes them to the airport for their homeward journey.
