Day 1: Arrival in Helsinki
Arrival in Helsinki, the capital of Finland. Spend the day exploring its seaside charm, Nordic design, and neoclassical architecture. Accommodation in a centrally located hotel in Helsinki (1 night).
Day 2: Helsinki – Turku
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for Turku, the oldest city in Finland and a former capital. Located at the mouth of the Aura River, Turku offers historic buildings, riverside cafés, and a vibrant maritime heritage. Accommodation in Turku.
Day 3: Turku – Rauma – Vaasa
Breakfast at the hotel. Continue north with a stop in the town of Rauma, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for Old Rauma – one of the best-preserved wooden towns in the Nordics. Arrive in Vaasa, a bilingual Finnish-Swedish city located on the Gulf of Bothnia. Accommodation in Vaasa.
Day 4: Vaasa – Umeå
Breakfast at the hotel. Begin the day with a city tour of Vaasa, including insights into the Kvarken Archipelago – Finland’s only natural UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the evening, board the ferry to Umeå, Sweden, enjoying dinner on board. Accommodation in Umeå.
Day 5: Umeå – High Coast – Sundsvall
Breakfast at the hotel. Travel along Sweden’s scenic High Coast, a UNESCO-listed region known for dramatic cliffs and unique post-glacial uplift. Stop at Skule Mountain and cross the striking High Coast Bridge before arriving in Sundsvall. Accommodation in Sundsvall.
Day 6: Sundsvall – Trondheim
Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a relaxing morning before boarding the train westward into Norway. Cross forested landscapes and rolling hills as the train heads to Trondheim, Norway’s former capital. Accommodation in Trondheim.
Day 7: Trondheim – Geiranger via Trollstigen
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart Trondheim by bus and drive south along fjords and valleys. A highlight of today is Trollstigen – a serpentine mountain road with 11 hairpin bends and panoramic viewpoints. Arrive in Geiranger, home to one of the most famous fjords in the world. Accommodation in Geiranger.
Day 8: Geiranger – Lillehammer
Breakfast at the hotel. Optional morning fjord cruise on the UNESCO-listed Geirangerfjord. Weather permitting, take a detour up Mt. Dalsnibba (1,476m) for an unmatched view. Continue to Lillehammer, host city of the 1994 Winter Olympics. Accommodation in Lillehammer.
Day 9: Lillehammer – Oslo
Breakfast at the hotel. Continue south to Oslo, Norway’s capital city, beautifully located between the Oslofjord and surrounding forest. Guided city tour upon arrival. Accommodation in Oslo.
Day 10: Departure from Oslo
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Oslo Airport and departure according to individual flight times.
