Day 1: Arrival in Stockholm
Arrival in Stockholm according to your own itinerary. The Swedish capital is spread across 14 islands, connected by over 50 bridges, creating a unique blend of water, greenery, and architecture. Overnight in a centrally located hotel in Stockholm.
Day 2: Discovering Stockholm
Breakfast at the hotel. A licensed city guide will introduce the highlights of Stockholm during a three-hour guided city tour. The tour includes visits to Södermalm, known for its artistic spirit; Djurgården, home to several major museums; and Gamla Stan, the old town, with its cobbled streets and Royal Palace. The panoramic view from Fjällgatan rounds off the experience. Overnight in Stockholm.
Day 3: Stockholm – Ferry to Gotland – Visby
After breakfast, departure to Nynäshamn, where the ferry to Gotland awaits. The 3.5-hour ferry journey offers views over the Baltic Sea and a scenic approach to the island. Upon arrival in Visby, a local guide will provide an introduction to the medieval town during a two-hour city tour. The remainder of the day is free for personal exploration. Overnight in Visby.
Day 4: The North of Gotland & Fårö
Breakfast at the hotel. Today’s excursion explores the north of Gotland, with its characteristic medieval churches and dramatic landscapes. A ferry crossing brings you to the island of Fårö, known for its unique Raukar rock formations and peaceful natural setting. Return to Visby in the afternoon. Overnight in Visby.
Day 5: Visby – Ferry to Oskarshamn – Kalmar
The morning is at leisure. In the afternoon, the ferry departs from Visby to Oskarshamn on the mainland. From there, the journey continues to Kalmar. Overnight in Kalmar.
Day 6: Kalmar
Breakfast at the hotel. The day is at leisure to explore Kalmar’s historic sights. Highlights include Kalmar Castle, beautifully located and preserved since the late 16th century, and the city’s old town district of Kvarnholmen with its charming architecture and cobblestone streets. Overnight in Kalmar.
Day 7: Kalmar – Stockholm Area (Trosa recommended)
After breakfast, return to the Stockholm area. A countryside overnight stay in the charming town of Trosa or a similar location is recommended for a relaxing final evening. Overnight in the Stockholm area.
Day 8: Departure
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport and departure according to your own flight schedule.
