From the snowy hills of Rovaniemi to the scenic wilderness of Saariselkä, guests will discover Finland’s warm hospitality, charming cabins, and—if lucky—the magical Northern Lights.

Day 1: Arrival in Rovaniemi
Upon arrival at Rovaniemi Airport (own arrangement), a transfer will be arranged to the Ounasvaaran Lakituvat Chalet, situated atop the Ounasvaara fell. The peaceful surroundings offer an ideal setting for relaxation, with opportunities to observe local wildlife such as reindeer. Dinner and overnight stay at the chalet.
Day 2: Rovaniemi
Following breakfast, the day will be free for personal exploration or optional activities. Excursions such as visits to a local reindeer farm or guided Northern Lights safaris may be arranged upon request. Dinner and overnight stay at the chalet.
Day 3: Rovaniemi
After breakfast, the day continues with time at leisure. A visit to Santa Claus Village is recommended, where guests may meet Santa himself and send a postcard from his official post office. Dinner and overnight stay at the chalet.
Day 4: Rovaniemi – Saariselkä
Breakfast will be served at the accommodation before transferring to the bus station. A scenic coach journey to Kakslauttanen will follow, with onward transfer to the Wilderness Hotel Muotka. The hotel is located near the Urho Kekkonen National Park, offering tranquil surroundings and direct access to nature. Dinner and overnight stay in a Panorama Log Cabin.
Day 5: Saariselkä
The day begins with breakfast, followed by time at leisure. The private sauna in each cabin invites relaxation. Optional excursions such as husky sledding, snowshoeing, or Aurora hunts may be booked upon request. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 6: Saariselkä
After breakfast, guests are encouraged to enjoy the snowy surroundings or explore the National Park trails nearby. The day remains at leisure for any optional activities. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 7: Departure
Following breakfast, a transfer will be arranged to Ivalo Airport in accordance with the departure schedule.
Please note that during the Chrsitmas Holidays, Wilderness Hotels have their packages mandatory to book, mandatory activities will therefore be added.
