Winter in Finnish Lapland

Day 1: Arrival in Lapland
Arrival in Oulu, Rovaniemi, or Kuusamo Airport according to individual arrangements. Upon arrival, a transfer will be provided to the hotel. The remainder of the day will be kept at leisure.

Day 2: Snowmobile Safari
After breakfast, the morning will be kept at leisure. In the early afternoon, a snowmobile safari will commence directly from the hotel. Clients will drive through scenic winter landscapes, following trails that descend through snow-covered forests and cross ice-covered swamps and lakes. A stop will be made around a campfire, where coffee will be served.

Day 3: Northern Lights Safari
The day will be kept at leisure for optional excursions such as a husky safari or ice fishing (available on request). In the evening, a Northern Lights hunt will be undertaken by bus. An experienced guide will accompany the group to locations selected for optimal viewing conditions. During the excursion, a warm drink and pastries will be served.

Day 4: Reindeer Sledding
Following breakfast, clients will participate in a traditional reindeer safari. Seated in reindeer-drawn sleighs, the group will travel in a caravan-style line, connected by rope – just as the Sami people have done for generations. A stop will be made in a traditional “kota” (a Sami hut), where coffee and snacks will be served.

Day 5: Rauna Zoo and Santa Claus Village
Today’s excursion will include a visit to the Rauna Zoo, where clients will encounter Arctic wildlife such as brown bears, moose, wolves and lynx. The journey will then continue to Rovaniemi, the capital of Finnish Lapland, located directly on the Arctic Circle. Time will be given to visit the Santa Claus Village, where clients will have the opportunity to meet Santa himself and explore a variety of local handicraft and design shops.

Day 6: Departure
After breakfast, a transfer will be provided to the airport. Departure will take place according to individual arrangements.
