A classic route through some of Norway’s most iconic landscapes and vibrant cities. From the capital Oslo to the fjords of Flåm and Geiranger, on to the Art Nouveau town of Ålesund and the remote beauty of the Lofoten and Vesterålen islands – this journey offers a well-rounded experience of Norwegian nature and culture.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Oslo
Arrival in Oslo according to individual arrangements. A local guide and bus will meet the group and offer an introduction to Norway’s capital, including historical highlights and cultural sights. Overnight in a centrally located hotel in Oslo.
Day 2: Oslo – Flåm
After breakfast, a scenic rail journey begins. First on the Bergen Railway from Oslo to Myrdal, followed by the world-famous Flåm Railway – one of Norway’s most spectacular train rides. Overnight in Flåm.
Day 3: Flåm – Bergen
The day starts with a cruise on the UNESCO-listed Nærøyfjord, continuing by bus through the fjord region to Voss and then on to Bergen, the gateway to the fjords. Overnight in Bergen.
Day 4: Bergen
A guided city tour introduces the Hanseatic heritage and maritime charm of Bergen. The Fløibanen funicular provides panoramic views over the city and surrounding fjords. Overnight in Bergen.
Day 5: Bergen – Ålesund
The journey continues by coach along the western coastline through stunning landscapes en route to Ålesund, known for its Art Nouveau architecture. Overnight in Ålesund.
Day 6: Excursion to Geiranger
Today’s excursion leads to the fjord village of Geiranger, nestled beside the UNESCO-listed Geirangerfjord. Time is available to enjoy the scenery before returning to Ålesund. Overnight in Ålesund.
Day 7: Ålesund – Bodø
Breakfast at the hotel before meeting a local guide for a morning city tour. In the afternoon, transfer to the airport and flight to Bodø (flight not included). Overnight in Bodø.
Day 8: Lofoten & Vesterålen
A morning ferry crossing takes the group to the Lofoten Islands. The journey continues through dramatic landscapes to the neighbouring Vesterålen Islands. Overnight in Vesterålen.
Day 9: Return to Bodø
Return drive to Bodø offers a different perspective on the Lofoten Islands, with scenic views and additional photo opportunities along the way. Overnight in Bodø.
Day 10: Departure
A short sightseeing tour in Bodø rounds off the trip, followed by transfer to the airport for the return journey.
