On this journey through Northern Norway, clients will explore the vibrant Arctic city of Tromsø and the dramatic landscapes of the Lofoten Islands. Travelling by land and sea, the itinerary offers unforgettable views, local highlights and excellent opportunities to witness the Northern Lights.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Tromsø
Arrival in Tromsø will take place according to own arrangements. A transfer by private coach will be arranged from the airport to the centrally located hotel. Overnight in Tromsø.
Day 2: Tromsø City Tour
After breakfast, a guided city tour will be conducted, offering insights into the cultural and historical highlights of Tromsø. The tour will include entrance to the iconic Arctic Cathedral. To conclude the day, the cable car “Fjellheisen” will be taken to the top of Tromsø’s local mountain, offering panoramic views of the city and its surrounding fjords and peaks. Overnight in Tromsø.
Day 3: Hurtigruten Coastal Voyage
The day will be at leisure until late evening. Optional excursions can be arranged upon request. At approximately 23:45, clients will board the legendary Hurtigruten for an overnight cruise along the dramatic winter coast. Overnight on board Hurtigruten in inside double cabins.
Day 4: Arrival in Svolvær, Lofoten Islands
Much of the day will be spent on board the Hurtigruten, sailing past fjords, fishing villages and majestic mountain formations. In the evening, arrival in Svolvær, the capital of the Lofoten Islands, will take place. A transfer will be provided to the hotel, which is located by the sea – an ideal setting for observing the Northern Lights directly from the hotel area. Overnight in Lofoten.
Day 5: Lofoten Sightseeing Tour
A guided sightseeing tour of the Lofoten Islands will be arranged. The islands are known for their wild, untamed beauty, charming fishing villages and unforgettable Arctic light. The rest of the day will be kept at leisure. Overnight in Lofoten.
Day 6: Day at Leisure
This day will be free for individual exploration. Optional activities such as photography tours, cultural visits or additional excursions can be organised upon request. Overnight in Lofoten.
Day 7: Departure
After breakfast, a transfer will be provided from the hotel to Evenes Airport (EVE) for the return journey.

Local tip
When sailing the Hurtigruten down to Svolvær, keep an eye out for sea eagles — these majestic birds are often spotted soaring above the fjords or perched on rocky outcrops. The Lofoten coastline is one of the best places in Norway to see them up close, especially around Trollfjord.
