Magical Northern Lights

Day 1: Arrival in Rovaniemi
Upon arrival in Rovaniemi (own arrangement), a combined transfer and city sightseeing tour will be provided, including a visit to the Santa Claus Village. Here, the “real” Santa Claus may be met year-round. In the evening, a guided Northern Lights hunt will be arranged. With around 200 sightings per year in this region, the chances of experiencing this phenomenon are considerable. Overnight accommodation in Rovaniemi.

Day 2: Rovaniemi – Inari Resort
After breakfast, travel will continue north to Inari, a serene village immersed in Sámi tradition and Arctic nature. A two-night stay will be enjoyed at a wilderness resort beautifully situated by a lake. Free time may be used for optional winter activities or a visit to the Sámi Museum and Nature Centre Siida.

Day 3: Meet the Reindeer & Aurora Camp
Two guided excursions are included today. In the morning, a local herder will welcome the group to his reindeer farm. A short sledge ride will be experienced, followed by stories of Sámi life and culture. In the evening, an Aurora Camp visit will be arranged, where time will be spent around an open fire with warm drinks while waiting for the northern lights to appear.

Day 4–9: Hurtigruten Coastal Cruise
Following breakfast, the journey will continue by coach from Finland to Kirkenes, Norway. Along the way, a dramatic change in landscape will be observed as Arctic coastal scenery unfolds. Upon arrival in Kirkenes, embarkation will take place aboard the Hurtigruten ship for a 6-day cruise along Norway’s renowned coastline. Accommodation in outside cabins and full board are included. Throughout the journey, picturesque fjords, fishing villages and remote settlements will be passed — offering a truly authentic coastal experience.

Day 9: Bergen
Disembarkation will take place in Bergen, also known as the gateway to the fjords. A city sightseeing tour will be arranged upon arrival, providing insights into Bergen’s Hanseatic past and charming cityscape. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Bergen.

Day 10: Norway in a Nutshell – Bergen to Flåm
This morning marks the beginning of the iconic Norway in a Nutshell journey. A scenic transfer will bring the group from Bergen to Gudvangen, where a fjord cruise will be boarded. A 2-hour journey through the UNESCO-listed Nærøyfjord will be enjoyed, ending in the idyllic fjord village of Flåm. Overnight accommodation in Flåm.

Day 11: Flåm – Oslo
From Flåm, the world-famous Flåm Railway will be boarded to Myrdal. This scenic mountain railway offers panoramic views of steep mountains, waterfalls and deep valleys. Upon arrival in Myrdal, the journey will continue by train to Oslo. Overnight stay in Norway’s green capital.

Day 12: Oslo
A guided city tour of Oslo will be arranged today, covering major highlights such as the Vigeland Sculpture Park, the Royal Palace, the modern Opera House and City Hall. The afternoon may be enjoyed at leisure. Overnight in Oslo.

Day 13: Departure
Following breakfast, a transfer will be provided to Oslo Airport. Departure from Norway with lasting memories of the magical north.
