This short tour offers a delightful encounter with some of Norway’s most iconic landscapes. Perfect as an extension to a city break or as a compact round trip, this journey combines scenic train rides with a fjord cruise – including the renowned Flåm Railway and the UNESCO-listed Nærøyfjord.
Itinerary
Day 1: Oslo – Flåm
Breakfast at the hotel before departing by train from Oslo to Myrdal. The journey on the Bergen Railway reveals varied and picturesque scenery. At Myrdal, the tour continues on the famous Flåm Railway, a steep and scenic descent to the fjord-side village of Flåm. Upon arrival, time is at leisure to enjoy the peaceful surroundings and explore the village. Overnight in a hotel in Flåm.
Day 2: Flåm – Bergen
Breakfast at the hotel. A fjord cruise takes you through the narrow Nærøyfjord to Gudvangen, offering dramatic views of steep cliffs and cascading waterfalls. From Gudvangen, travel by bus through scenic landscapes to Bergen. The remainder of the day is free to explore the historic harbour city, known for its Hanseatic heritage. Overnight in a centrally located hotel in Bergen.
Day 3: Departure
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure according to your own itinerary, or continue your Scandinavian city break.
