Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Stockholm
Welcome to Stockholm, the Swedish capital. A private transfer will take you to your centrally located hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to begin exploring this elegant city built on 14 islands. Overnight in Stockholm.
Day 2: Stockholm – Luleå (night train)
After breakfast, enjoy a three-hour guided city tour by bus, including entrance to the renowned Vasa Museum. In the afternoon, take time to explore at your own pace before transferring to the central station. Board your overnight train to Swedish Lapland in a comfortable two-bed compartment. Overnight onboard the night train.
Day 3: Luleå – Jokkmokk
Arrival in Luleå early in the morning. A breakfast buffet is served at a nearby hotel before continuing to Gammelstad Church Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The day’s journey continues through northern villages, stopping at the powerful Storforsen waterfall and the architectural wonder that is the Treehotel. In the evening, arrive in Jokkmokk. Overnight in Jokkmokk.
Day 4: Jokkmokk – Kiruna
Breakfast is followed by a visit to the Ájtte Museum, where Sámi traditions and mountain life are presented through engaging exhibits. Continue through the UNESCO-listed Laponia region, and if schedule allows, an optional boat trip across the river to Saltoluokta can be included. Travel onward to Kiruna, the northernmost town in Sweden. Overnight in Kiruna.
Day 5: Kiruna – Abisko/Björkliden
Begin the day with a visit to the world’s largest underground iron-ore mine. A coach takes visitors deep into the mountain for a fascinating insight into this cornerstone of Kiruna’s identity. In the afternoon, travel north to Abisko National Park, where a chairlift takes you to the top of Mount Nuolja. From the sky station, enjoy panoramic views under the light of the midnight sun. An optional Nordic dinner and guided visit can be arranged. Overnight in Björkliden.
Day 6: Abisko/Björkliden – Jukkasjärvi – Kiruna
Today’s journey brings you to the village of Jukkasjärvi. Here, visit the world-famous ICEHOTEL, open year-round, where a guided tour and a drink in the icebar are included. Afterwards, continue to a Sámi camp to learn about reindeer herding and Sámi traditions, followed by a traditional light meal around the fire. Overnight in Kiruna (or ICEHOTEL as optional upgrade).
Day 7: Departure
After breakfast, check-out and transfer to the airport. Departure according to your own flight schedule.

In Swedish Lapland, cloudberries (hjortron) are a prized delicacy, and locals often guard their picking spots like secrets. Visit in late July or early August, and you might just spot golden berries dotting the marshes — but remember to bring waterproof boots!
