Day 2: Reykjavík
In the morning, the travellers explore Reykjavík and all its highlights with a local guide. In the afternoon they are free to wander through the city by themselves or join an optional whale watching tour starting from Reykjavik’s old port.
Day 3: Golden Circle
Today the travellers visit several of Iceland's must-sees, along the “Golden Circle”, including beautiful Thingvellir National Park. Continue through the fertile lowlands in the south to one of the island's most spectacular waterfalls, Gullfloss. They will also visit the hot springs in the Geysir region, which has given its name to the natural phenomenon.
Day 4: South Shore
On this day’s excursion more beautiful views await, including the waterfalls Seljjalandsfoss and Skógafoss. The route passes through the farm landscape of south Iceland and follows the south coast all the way to the charming village of Vik í Mýrdal, which is surrounded by high cliffs and where the travellers can take a walk along the black sands of Reynisfjara Beach.
Day 5: Departure from Reykjavik
Past the desolate lava landscape of Reykjanes, dotted with many volcanic craters, the group heads Blue Lagoon to enjoy a healing dip, before the tour ends at Keflavik airport.

Local tip
Head to Grótta Lighthouse at the edge of the city for great sunset views and a peaceful walk by the sea. There's even a small hot footbath where you can warm your feet. Just check the tide—it’s only accessible at low tide.
