This tour includes visits to massive icebergs, part of Ilulissat’s UNESCO World Heritage Site, and seasonal activities showcasing Greenland’s Arctic beauty. The journey extends to the Ilulissat Icefjord, a natural wonder producing up to 40 million tons of ice daily. Countless icebergs drifting into Disko Bay create a breathtaking Arctic panorama.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Greenland
Flights are available from Copenhagen or Reykjavik to Ilulissat, with a transfer from the airport to the hotel upon arrival. A welcome meeting provides insights into the town, local dining, and excursion options. The afternoon program varies by season: from June to August, a guided hike leads to an abandoned settlement, while the rest of the year features a guided tour of Ilulissat’s rich history. The evening concludes with a welcome dinner at the hotel’s restaurant (drinks not included).

Note: Flights from Copenhagen require a transfer in Nuuk.

Day 2: Ilulissat
After breakfast, the day’s activities depend on the season. In summer (June–August), the day is at leisure, with an optional whale-watching excursion (not included), followed by an evening iceberg cruise under the midnight sun. In autumn (August–December), a guided hike to the abandoned Sermermiut settlement is followed by free time. From January to April, the itinerary includes a boat tour among the icebergs and an evening snowcat excursion under the polar night.

Day 3: Ilulissat
A day of adventure after breakfast. Summer features a full-day boat trip across Baffin Bay to witness the calving Eqi Glacier. In autumn, a boat tour among the icebergs is followed by free time or an optional Northern Lights tour. Winter brings a true Arctic experience—dog sledding, a thousand-year-old Inuit tradition.

Day 4: Ilulissat
A final full day in Ilulissat begins with breakfast at the hotel. Regardless of the season, the day is dedicated to exploring the town’s atmosphere and culture, offering a deeper understanding of Greenland. In summer, a farewell dinner is included.

Day 5: Departure
After breakfast, it’s time to depart for Copenhagen or Keflavík. With unforgettable memories of Greenland’s Arctic wonders, there’s always the invitation to return—whether in a different season or the same time next year.
